Friday Fives
1. Do you prefer early bubblegum Beatles or later mind expanding drugged up Beatles?
I like them both, but I can take the latter for much longer
2. Best and worst Beatles songs?
oh man, with a catalogue like that I just don't think I could answer. I guess I should take a stab. How about 'While my guitar gently weeps'? for best, and for worst... you just know it would be a Ringo song. Let's go with 'Octopus' Garden'.
3. Favorite wife of a Beatle?
that would have to be Patti Boyd, who was George Harrison's wife. The reason being, it is perhaps the greatest love drama in the history of rock. See, the problem was that George Harrisons very best friend had the total HOTS for Patti. So much so, that he even wrote her a song to declare his love to the whole world. That guy? Eric Clapton. The Song? Layla! In the end, Clapton did prevail with Boyd and they too were married. Strangely though, Clapton and Harrison remained friends throughout all of this until the end.
4. Which Beatle was your favorite solo act?
George. He is my favorite Beatle, and I really dig 'All Things Must Pass'
5. Who was the walrus?
I'll take this answer straight from the mouth of the Beatles, and chief prankster John Lennon. I told you about the walrus and me-man You know that we're as close as can be-man Well here's another clue for you all - The walrus was Paul.
