Who is next?
The New Year is upon us, so it is time to start playing a 'music integrity dead pool' of sorts. Remember when you saw Hootie in that Burger King commercial? Of course you do! Remember when you saw Lenny Kravitz pimping jeans? Yup! Remember when you saw Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in every other commerical that didn't feature Lenny Kravits or the Black Eyed Peas?
Well, at least Steve Tyler has 30 years under his belt. He is old and crazy and can do what he wants. What is the deal with the Black Eyed Peas, though? They were in like seven commercials. They were in so many commercials that SNL did a bit this year on 'rent the black eyed peas for your own commercial'?
Something tells me that the Peas have the same PR guy as the Spin Doctors did. Bad idea. That being said, Fergie is so friggin how that she can do whatever she wants. me likey!
So, here we are in 2006... who is gonna screw it up big and hack for the 'man'? My guess is Kanye West will be the biggest surprise shill for corporate America. Why? Because he is a great rap talent, well spoken, and not a dick. There are precious few of those folks in rap... or music alltogether. Whaddya think?
